The San Francesco di Assisi airport

The international airport, which is a few kilometers from Villa Pucci Boncambi, is certainly one of the flagships of the Umbria Region as it is the gateway to the main cities of Italy and Europe.

Its is a strategic position, in Sant’Egidio small town, halfway between Perugia and Assisi (about 12 kilometres).

Completely renovated in 2011, with the construction of a new terminal, the project is was curated by the architect Gae Aulenti.

Following the State-Regions conference of 19 February 2015, San Francesco d’Assisi airport was

been included in the list of airports considered to be of “national interest”.

The new facility can handle over 500,000 users.

Important crossroads: from the airport, along the freeway and motorway, you can quickly reach cities such as Arezzo, Siena and Florence (located to the north of Italy), and then continue towards Bologna or Milan, or Rome or Naples (located to the south of Italy) for example.

Its location in the “Green Heart of Umbria” represents a fundamental starting point to easily reach multiple destinations.

Some seasonal destinations (increased and enriched in some periods of the year) are currently the following: KRAKOW – CLUJ NAPOCA – LONDON STANSTED – MALTA – PALERMO – CATANIA – TIRANA – BARCELONA – VIENNA – BUCHAREST – BRINDISI – LONDON HEATHROW – CAGLIARI – ROTTERDAM – BRUSSELS CHARLEROI
